Oakland Housing Authority and Satellite Housing, Inc. have co-developed a 92-unit affordable senior housing development in the Eastlake neighborhood, one block from Lake Merritt. Lakeside Senior is ideally located 1 ½ blocks away from a Lucky’s Supermarket and Pharmacy, the Lake Merritt Bakery, numerous neighborhood serving restaurants and businesses as well as ½ block from two AC Transit bus lines with direct service to Downtown Oakland and BART.
The project will feature a fitness room, multimedia community room, rooftop patio deck, landscaped courtyards with raised planters for gardening activities, intergenerational programming, and a wide range of resident services designed to support seniors and their ability to live independently as long as is comfortable.
