The
Family & Community Partnerships (FCP) Department is the community and social services arm of OHA. We connect over 15,000 OHA families with career and educational opportunities, civic engagement initiatives, and community-building programs.
We are here to educate our residents about OHA programs and services, support them while they pursue their personal goals, and empower them to advocate on their own behalf. Below is a list of services offered by the FCP staff and community-based organizational partners.
FCP offers supportive services through emergency
assistance, help with everyday needs, access to computer labs and technology
and health and wellness programming.
The FCP department can provide support with resume and cover letter writing, completing job
applications, interview clothing, construction
training, job tools & licenses, budgeting & financial literacy,
continuing education and more!
Facilitates economic self-sufficiency while contributing to the stabilization of Oakland neighborhoods.
Advances the vision that all OHA youth will attend school, enroll in kindergarten on time, have proficient literacy by 3rd grade, graduate from high school and be prepared for college and/or a career upon high school graduation.
Promotes community building, volunteerism and problem solving by providing resident leadership opportunities and training. Residents who are engaged through civic leadership are able to promote the quality of life in OHA communities through service, dialogue, and community partnership. Also learn about the
