The HCV (Section 8) program provides rental assistance to eligible individuals and families by paying a portion of their rent directly to private landlords. As funding becomes available, OHA will contact applicants for program eligibility.

The Housing Authority of the City and County of San Francisco is opening its Project-Based Voucher/RAD and Public Housing Waitlist. 

 

Waitlist will open on May 7, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. PT and close on May 21, 2025, at 5:00 pm PT. Waitlist Opening Flyer

Harp Plaza Section 8 Project-Based Voucher
Harp Plaza, an apartment complex in North Oakland, will open its waitlist for the vacant Project-Based Voucher units subsidized by Oakland Housing Authority.
Waitlist will open on April 11, 2025, and close on April 24, 2025.

James Lee Court, an apartment complex in North Oakland, will open its waitlist for the vacant Project-Base Voucher units subsidized by Oakland Housing Authority.

Camino 23 has opened its waitlist for one-bedroom tax credit and project-based voucher units. 
Paper applications are available for pick up and drop off at 1245 23rd Avenue Oakland, CA 94606 at the following times:
  • Friday - April 11
  • Tuesday -April 15, April 22
  • Wednesday - April 16, April 23
  • from 1:00PM - 4:00PM

Already on a Wait List?​​

If you have already completed a Waitlist Pre-Application your application will go through a lottery process for placement on one or more Waitlists, ​based on the program(s) to which you applied. Status is not provided by telephone. OHA will communicate with Applicants via email about their pre-application status. Applicants may return to the Applicant Po​rtal​ to report a change of address.
